Aburi sits on the Akuapem ridge in the Eastern Region, and its cooler hills make it the standard escape from Accra. If you want more than a day trip to the gardens, three resorts in Aburi publish their details online: Peduase Valley Resort, Hillburi and Beposo Resort. This guide compares them using each resort's own website, and says where a price or rule is not published.

Rates and rules come from the resorts and are not dated, so confirm them before you book.

What to do near the resorts

Aburi Botanical Gardens are the main draw in town, and our Aburi Botanical Gardens guide has the fees and hours. For a waterfall, Boti Falls and Umbrella Rock is the best known in the area, and the Bunso Eco Park canopy walk makes a second stop on the same weekend. Mobile data helps for maps, mobile money and calling a driver on the ridge roads. An eSIM is the simplest way to have it from the moment you land.
